Fire Prevention Activities at West Bourbon Elementary

Bourbon County Fire District 3 kicked off Fire Prevention Week by putting this "Don't Wait Check The Date" banner in front of West Bourbon Elementary. BC3FD received a mini grant from the Fire Education of Kansas and The Fire Marshals Association of Kansas, provided in the grant were materials to reach 100 kids and 100 adults. BC3FD contributed a portion of their budget in order to provide materials to the 250 students at WBE as well as the faculty, teachers, and staff.  BC3FD also spent time at the school with Fort Scott Fire Departments Fire Safety House discussing smoke detectors, escape plans, and calling 911.
